Mad Games Tycoon Review

Games Games Games!!!

Mad Games Tycoon is a game development management game. It has resided in early access for a while and released as of the 13th of September. Mad Games has a lot of features and mechanics that puts it quite far above a lot of other game management games. A lot of the word “game” in this review.

The first big thing that I noticed was that you are given an empty building to actually build your offices, whereas Game Dev Tycoon gives you PC’s to fill. You can decorate the offices, pick your desks and so on. You have development studios where you make your games, research lets you research new genres, topics, console components (yes you can develop your own console and yes it’s amazing). There are offices like graphics studios and sound studios that let you improve aspects of your game while it’s being developed.

You have to keep an eye on money, fans and popularity. You can earn money through contract work and from developing your own games. I know that what I’m describing sounds like Game Dev Tycoon don’t worry.

When you research console components such as chipsets and ram and even the case, you can start manufacturing your own consoles, handheld or stationary. You can have as many staff members as you want as long as they have a desk to work at they’ll be fine. Although you do have to keep an eye on their needs, staff will have needs that pop up such as temperature and safety, these are relatively easy to keep on top of.

There are 4 difficulties for you to pick from, I recommend normal if you have played games like Game Dev before. Or just go for Legendary if you are crazy. The art style looks very pleasant which is always good for these types of games considering you’re going to be looking at the same thing for the majority of the time.

In conclusion, I am having a great time with Mad Games Tycoon, I’d go far enough to say it’s the best Game Development game ever. For anyone who enjoyed Game Dev Tycoon or thought it fell a little short, I highly recommend this.
