April Game Spotlight

Welcome to April’s upcoming game’s spotlight. I will be looking at one Big Publisher game, one indie game, and one early access or beta game that will be coming out this month. In terms of game Releases April is not a prime time of the year for great games, but that does not make these games any less exciting.

1. Publisher Game: Dark Souls 3

There are a few big games that are coming out in April. We will be seeing Ratchet and Clank (12th April) and we will see Star Fox Zero (22nd April) for those of you who are still using your Wii U, if those people even exist anymore. However, the game that I most look forward to coming out in April has to be Dark Souls III! The pure epicness of the previous two games is enough to have anyone excited to see more of this story. Dark Souls III is getting some crazy good reviews. Due to the fact that it is coming out in a few days we are also getting some looks at the beginning gameplay. The weapons look amazing, the maps look crazy, and the enemies look frightening. I do not expect Dark Souls III to disappoint anyone’s expectations. The detail that From Software has put into this game is jaw dropping. There are places in the game where the detail is a little much and will push your pc to the limit. However, Dark Souls III appears to run smoothly the remainder of the time. If you are looking for a role playing game that will allow you to drive your soul into armageddon and send other  beasts there on your way. Dark Souls III will be your game.

2. Indie Game: Beyond the Destiny

Finding a gem among all of the indie games that will be released in April is going to be next to impossible. However, I have sifted through the dozens of games that will be released in April alone and have decided on one game to look at. The indie game to look for in April is Beyond the Destiny. Beyond the Destiny aims to combine role-playing, real-time strategy, and a third-person shooter. BTD will be available for early access play on steam April 11th. In terms of indie games, Beyond the Destiny appears to be an epic world game. With vehicles, transports, weapons, and weird enemy aliens, Beyond the Destiny looks like it will be a ton of fun to play.

3. Beta of the Month: Battleborn

This month’s beta is a game that we are going to be seeing at the very beginning of next month. Starting on April 8th, Battleborn was in open beta for people to try. This action packed FPS is going to be another fast pace shooter. Battleborn is from the makers of Borderlands. Bringing together co-operative campaign and online multiplayer battles, Battleborn will allow you to play however you would like with your friends. This game does not have a lot of content out there yet so, if you would like to know more you can pre-load the beta now and jump on it right now until April 18th.

I'm the one who plays all the weird indie titles but is horrible with remembering names. Commonly found asking "Hey, did you guys play that one game that came out like a while ago with that weird character in it?".
