Battlefield 1 Looks Great, Even In Low Quality

IGN have released gameplay footage of Battlefield 1, the newest instalment in DICE’s war fighter series, in its alpha stage, along with a side-by-side comparison of the game on an Ultra quality graphics setting and a low graphics setting.

Odin’s beard this game is pretty.  If Bill Withers was still alive then he’d be singing “lovely game, lovely game, lovely game” (note to self: check if Bill Withers is still alive).  Even on Low settings this game looks better than most games released last year and this year.  It is obvious that DICE have put their all into focusing on perfecting even the tiniest detail of textures for this year’s game.  I am honestly baffled by the quality of graphics on display here, however it does come with a sider of sceptic doubts:  Does that mean that the game will require the top level of console/PC hardware to run at decent frames? Probably.  Also, could this also be for the Alpha/Beta only, and when the final game is released, the graphics have been toned down (by a lot), for those who don’t have a powerful enough computer to run it perfectly.  Maybe, there have been a lot of games that have done just that, shown people gameplay footage that makes it look like the best quality game ever and then when the game is released has been toned down to 360 and PS3 generation games (*cough* Watchdogs *cough cough*).

What do you think? Does this make you want it more, or does the idea of being forced to have an expensive high-end computer to run this game put you off? Comment down below or tweet me at @Giantjordisteel
