Life Is Strange Is Getting Turned Into a Live-Action Series

The critically acclaimed episodic series from 2015, Life Is Strange, has just been announced for a live-action series for streaming services. Not much detail on what the story’s plot will be, but it will definitely be set in Arcadia Bay and give us some of the main characters we’ve come to love.

The show is the result of Square Enix and Legendary teaming up, to bring one of the best stories ever told in a whole new medium. Jon Brooke, VP of the brand and European marketing at Square Enix is very exciting to be working on the project with Legendary.

We’re proud and excited to be working alongside Legendary to realise a new version of Arcadia Bay and Blackwell Academy complete with our rich cast of realistic, believable characters and memorable events,” said Jon Brooke, vice president for brand and European marketing at Square Enix.

Life Is Strange follows the story of photography enthusiast Max Caulfield, a high-school senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price. The pair soon finds themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber, which uncovers a dark side to life in Arcadia Bay.

Life Is Strange was released over the course of last year in 5 episodes, available on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4.
