Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Announced

Street Fighter fans will be delighted to hear that Capcom has just announced a new Street Fighter Collection game. Recently revealed at the Capcum Cup 2017, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will include 12 Street Fighter titles from the 2D era. The games will be:

  • Street Fighter
  • Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
  • Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo
  • Street Fighter Alpha
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3
  • Street Fighter III: New Generation
  • Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  • Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

The main attraction of this game will be the online mode, which will be available in Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Players will finally be able to duke it out in online ranked matches in the arcade perfect renditions of the aforementioned games. Other interesting additions are the museum mode (which will include concept art and fun facts about Street Fighter), and a music player to hear many of the series’ iconic tracks.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is set to be released on May 2018, and will be available for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. So this game should really be called Street Fighter 31th Anniversary Collection…as the first Street Fighter was released on August 1987… and the release date is closer to the 31st anniversary than the 30th…(*cricket chirping*).
