As Nintendo’s new console, the Nintendo NX, has been the talk of the hour to all Nintendo fans, we’ve decided to give you the latest news about it. Here’s what we know about it so far:

What has been confirmed for the Nintendo NX:

• The Nintendo NX will be released in March of 2017.
• The console will use NVIDIA’s new mobile Tegra Processor.
• A new OS and around 32GB of Storage.
• The NX will be a combination of a handheld and a home system.
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the first official launch title for the NX.
• New Pokémon and Mario games have been confirmed as first-year titles as well.
• Square Enix have announced that they will be bringing Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI to the Nintendo NX.
• Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has been reported saying “The new Nintendo [console] is a fantastic machine. It’s really a new approach, it’s really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again. We love it.” – in regards to the new console.

Of course, there are a ton of rumours about the Nintendo NX floating around on the internet. Here are some of the most plausible and reliable rumours out there:

Rumours about the Nintendo NX:

• The Nintendo NX will be officially revealed sometime in October.
• It has been heavily rumoured that the NX will bring back cartridge based gaming.  The biggest evidence of this coming from May when Macronix (the company that makes the cartridges for the 3DS) stated that they would be expecting a “big order” from Nintendo in their 3^rd quarter.
• There may be a “Social” share feature on their controllers.
• Nintendo may be exploring the possibility of VR for the NX.
• The NX Controller’s shoulder buttons will feature “Scroll wheels” for quick navigation.
• The Super Smash Bros. series has been rumoured to have a new title for the NX.  This is one of the most obvious rumours as there has now been a new Super Smash Bros. title for every console since the N64. However, they have not confirmed that this game is in development as they have with Pokémon and Mario.
