XCOM 2, the wildly successful latest installment to the series is set to release to consoles on September 9, 2016. This sequel was received very well on PC, achieving extremely positive feedback and ratings. 2k wanted to ensure that the franchise met the high standards set by the previous installments, so they partnered with The Workshop in order to bring this experience to consoles.

Continuing with the story of the franchise, XCOM 2 continues with the invasion of Earth. It is now twenty years further than the last installment, and the alien invaders have successfully taken over most of our planet. As XCOM, a military organization that is largely forgotten, you must fight to win Earth back from its invaders.
